Victoria & Steve.
Rudding Park Harrogate.
May 2011.
Victoria first came to us approx 12 months before her big day. Like so many of our brides, Victoria knew how she wanted her day to look but wasn't quite sure about the finer details such as which flowers to choose and what to pick as table centres etc.
After a couple of meetings a profile was then drawn up for Victoria taking into account her dress, grooms attire, bridesmaids dresses, colour swatches, magazine pictures and quite importantly (and often forgotten!) her stationary.
The day was to have a very classic but relaxed feel with Ivory floral displays incorporating just a hint of blush pink.
This "just a hint of pink" was paramount in creating the look that Victoria had asked for and the stunningly beautiful Sweet Avalanche Rose was picked for the job.
Our very classic crystal candelabras and crystal flower towers were chosen for the table centres matching the crystal chandeliers in the reception room beautifully.
Victoria had decided quite early on that she didn't want the traditional style of top table arrangement so a elongated style with trailing ivy was desinged for her. The candelabra tables were dressed with three vinatge style glass pots filled with flower posies and the remaining tables were beautifully dominated by flower filled crystal flower towers.
The day before, we dressed the pretty church with two large pedestal displays either side of the alter and posies on the pew ends, this was mirrored on the staircase at Rudding
with posies and ivy trails.
To finish the look two bay trees dressed with ivory flowers were placed at the church entrance and later moved to the main entrance at Rudding Park. This was also done with the pedestal displays which were later placed at both sides of the top table.
The room was finished with white luxury padded chair covers and ivory sashes.
The completed look was a elegant flower filled (and scented) room with shimmering crystal complemented with clean crisp white and ivory linen finished with a hint of Navy running through the table placecards and menus.
